Lucid dreaming provides for limitless ways to explore extra-ordinary experiences that are difficult or even impossible to gain in everyday life.

But what if you would use lucid dreaming not to gain experiences, but new states of awareness or mental ability? What if you would then be able to induce those state in waking life?

Need inspiration? Go and see the Limitless movie!

    Hey Tim,

This is a very interesting post to say the least, but could you explain this idea of gaining new state of awareness and abilities a little more?

    Thanks

I guess your comment was related to the other post “Why bother learning lucid dreaming?” :)

One could use lucid dreaming to study consciousness and reality, and ascend to more full states of lucidity. Lucidity is not just an on and off switch. There are several levels of lucidity, the same as there are several levels of metacognition in waking life. Lucid dreaming could be a great practice to explore those different states.
