Confidence

Confidence

There is a very important thing about all of the techniques that should induce lucidity, and that is confidence. You might tell yourself when you go to sleep: I’m going to DILD. This is probably the worst thing there is to do. I made the same mistake. And after a while I wondered how it came. It can’t be said enough, you have to lucid dream on your own. The technique is a tool, an extension of yourself, and this should not be mistaken. It is very important to comprehend that. You are the dreamer, not the technique. You have to use your intent, will, motivation, emotion, focus, expectation, believe and such. If you want to have a lucid dream, involve those things. If you truly want something, you are able to do your very best. And in the end you probably will receive it. This way you can practically induce a lucid dream without any technique.

I had a time that I trusted too much on this techniques, and not so much myself. This made a U-turn after I noticed what I did wrong. This is also the reason why people say their lucid dream frequency went up after their first lucid dream. This is because they had to become confident of themselves. They knew that they did it before and that is why it became easier. This isn’t only the case with lucid dreams. I can take an example for myself. Whenever I skate and I do something drastically new and I also amaze myself, afterwards it becomes easier. I have had a lot of similar experiences. I also noticed that once I had my first lucid dream the frequency went up. So in lucid dreaming the person stands neutral, not the technique. And as you read this you might have the feeling that this is already the case with you, but you really have to go inside yourself and search this confidence.

Even if you never had a lucid dream before, don’t drop yourself on techniques, it’s a trap. Just keep them as a tool, centralize yourself.

I want to say this to you, fellow lucid dreamers, be confident! It is the most important aspect of the journey to lucid dreams. I can’t say it enough times. Now if you go to bed with the idea of having of a lucid dream, you say to yourself: “Bugger off DILD, MILD, WILD or anything, I’m doing this by myself.”

Good luck!
