I thought it might be an idea to share this. Every time you use a power or technique int he dream world, you get a little better at it the next time because you expect it to work again. Thus, it is possible to train yourself in the dreamworld, as I have done.
Without a doubt, the most valuable tool in my arsenal these days is my ability to teleport. In terms of hitting my goals, its perfect. I just put two fingers to my head and suddenly appear wherever I need to. it makes this cool FSSSH sound as well.
I've never really needed it for this reason, but I thuoght that it would be excellent to get out of an uncomfortable situation with. Good to have as back up.
Of course, other powers are also incredibly useful. creating ki explosions to clear obstacles, invulnerability to protect me from danger, etc.
What other abilities have been useful to you people in the dream world?
(for a full list of mine, check out my column on the table over here: http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/ww312/cadellinman/chikara.png
level 1 means that its been done once, and level 5 means absolute mastery)
oh, and the Jake entry is the user "Gale". _________________ Welcome to my Dreamworld. Watch out for the Saiyans... |

lol good idea, it really helps motivation.
As for me considering i havnt had any lucid dreams lately my only "magic" is creating fireballs and electricity. Some other things like walking through walls and flying but those are really general :\ |

| I recently have been working on time control. I have only done it a couple of times. The first time I had to concentrate very hard to pause time and even then it would only work for a few seconds. The second time I would say "play" and "pause" and it would work for much longer, but not all dream characters were affected. For example I was having a dream I was walking around school and paused time. while everything was paused I saw a woman going up some stairs. Im hoping to improve my skills with this in later dreams and then once I have that mastered I can move on to new powers. |

I once yelled STOP in the middle of a gunfight to freeze the other combatants in time. _________________ Welcome to my Dreamworld. Watch out for the Saiyans... |

| I do some similar things to get to where I want to be...I either look for a door and when I open it, I am happily where I hoped to be; also, I will spin around a couple times holding my intent on where I want to be and voila, when I stop spinning, I am there! It's one part intent one part expectation! Fun stuff! |

Ah, i struggled with teleportation for a long time. I eventually cracked it: i put two fingers to my forehead, and think of where I want to go. I disappear with a FSSH sound and reappear wherever I want to be. Its literally the instant transmission technique from DBZ. _________________ Welcome to my Dreamworld. Watch out for the Saiyans... |

Its a good way of keeping track of things, and I find that it helps if you know that you have successfully used a power in the past to do it again. The other people are various friends of mine who have joined in, some of whom are on this site. Jake is on here under the name "Gale".
and no, I hate twillight. _________________ Welcome to my Dreamworld. Watch out for the Saiyans... |

I think the idea of training is interesting. I learned to have control over LD's at a young age so i found many 'powers' easy to master (childhood imagination?). My main skills are actually the ones i have never took the time to practise and try hard at, they are the ones i could always just do, like telekenisis, flight and time control (re-playing events and speeding/slowing time down).
Im not sure if it is a question of practise, but of the limits of your imagination. |

Lol I once had (in a dream) to do a science project that had to do with fire balls. They were literally spheres that you could ignite on command. I burned myself in the dream and actually felt the pain from it lol. Just a side story =p |

Not sure if seeing the future in a dream counts, but I manage to do that a lot...
It's not something I try to make happen, it just happens sometimes. How could I train to do this on purpose or have it happen more often? |
