I'm really not sure where i should have put this topic, so I'm sorry if it's in a wrong place. I've never had a lucid dream (though I've tried sometimes and I remember almost every dream I have), but this is the first time I'm trying to really figure out what is it I want to do in a lucid dream.

I think I want my main goal to be trying to get rid of my touching issues (it's really hard for me to touch almost anyone and I don't know the reason behind my problem). I know it may be difficult, but I'd really like to try that. Or maybe get some help from my subconscious. I'm just not sure how I should advance in my lucid dream (if I even manage that...) so I'm asking if anyone has ideas or experience about dealing with this kind of things?

Maybe practice touching with people in your lucid dreams?
So you could set out with at first having a lucid dream.
Then, having a lucid dream where you poke someone or something like that. Just one.
After that, you can just escalate from there.

Remember this, goals have to be
Specific - "Getting over my fear of touching" isn't a proper goal. It's very general. Something like: "being able to hug someone without knowing them a month beforehand without fear" is much more specific.
Measurable - This doesn't mean you have to go to numbers. You can define a measuring standard by the amount of touching you're comfortable with (handshake, hug).
Attainable - If you're not going to make it anyway, why would you even set the goal?
Relevant - It has to be worth your while. You really have to want it. Not "I should..." Not "Maybe I'll.." NO. "I will"
Time-bound - Otherwise you'd just be skiving off all the time. Set a time frame for your goals.

You can also be even smarter! Razz
Evaluate - Consider your goals. Are they good? Do they fit the S.M.A.R.T. criteria well?
Re-evaluate - How are you doing, working towards them? How do you feel about that? Is it a struggle, or is it too easy?

The acronym might sound lame, but it's the only thing you'll need for setting good goals and attaining them.

I think it is great that you have a goal, and maybe how you plan to do it isn't so specific yet, but I run into many potential lucid dreamers that don't have a reason that they want to lucid dream at all...so your goal is something you already think you can utilize your LD's to become more comfortable with.

Once in some dreams it is always better to use positive statements rather than negative ones. Instead of saying, "I am not going to freak out if I touch someone in this dream"...say, "I will touch them and when I do, I will feel joy and closeness, and positive about the experience."

Positive expectations will help a lot, both to get lucid and to accomplish goals in the dreams Smile)

Today at the bus I felt like moron, when I realized that I should just try touching someone in my dream. I think one of my problems why I haven't been able to dream lucid, is because I don't have a specific thing I want to do in my dream.

I actually have many things I want to do in my dreams, but this is probably the most interesting and I think that my first goal should be something that gets me really excited. =)

Thank you about mentioning the positive thinking, I have to remember that.

Your answers helped a lot. =)
