This may not seem like a lucid dream topic but i wonder if this is possible

most people are afraid of december 21st 2012 (including me) incase we die LOL!
but is it possible to take something tht cud make u sleep for the whole day and dream well because if we do die... we will be unconsious during this and not feel a thing? do you think its possible to use something to sleep for a whole day? (24 hours) i mean its a general question reli.. i just used 2012 as an exapmle

It's not sillier than the Y2K panic. Not saying I believe in it but it for sure has more behind it than Y2K. Y2K had nothing behind it. Atleast 2012 has the end of the mayan calander behind it and also Nostrodomus' predictions. Those are only predictions but it has been scientifically proven that in 2012 the sun will have a record amount of sun spots. So I wouldn't say that the 2012 theory is sillier than the Y2K theory, which was just a theory that the computers would have a glitch.

As far as I know, not very safely. Theoretically you could take a powerful sedative, but don't take my word for it because I know absolutely nothing about sedatives. However, to take something that powerful without a doctor you will probably end up seriously injuring yourself or possibly killing yourself.

My suggestion is don't worry about it. The calendar doesn't say the world in going to end, the calendar just ends. There's actually a theory that on 12/21/12 everyone will reach a new intellectual point where we can use an even higher percent of our brain power, possibly even allowing us to do things we only thought were possible in dreams. Choose to believe that that is going to happen and be excited for the day instead of being afraid.

No worries, the Mayan calendar does not end at 2012, the Mayans believed in a cyclical system to time, and at 2012 we are just starting the cycle over again (hopefully in a higher state...but looking at this world, who knows LOL)
As for Nostradamus, his prophesies are so vague they can be interpreted to mean anything people want them to.

So it's really nothing to lose sleep over.

I totally agree with snuggles i watched a 3 hour lecture on this subject of by the time we hit 2011 we will already start the next step in the evolutionary cycle of the brain to use more brain power and think with more speed and accuracy eventually we basically will have to use intuition instead of thinking ahead you'll just know what to do in any situation

It is possible to sleep for 24+ hours, but DON'T DO IT. My dad is an epileptic and every day he takes an enormous number of pills. Once, my mom took two of his pills by accident (thought they were aspirin), and she slept for almost 48 hours. She was okay, but it's a VERY BAD IDEA to try and do it on purpose.

Yeah, i'm agreeing with Tracy. Nothing will happen 2012, just a lot of people will commit suicide or freak because they THINK something will happen.

I think so, too, cgkraz...I can only imagine what the world would be a week or even a month before that date. The highly religious people might begin to think of doing something stupid, just to save their souls. (we've all watched the movie 2012, I guess...so you know)

Anyway I don't think that a giant hole will open and we're all going to extinguish. I'm more concerned about the Nibiru planet that's going to pass very near our orbit. If that's true, too.
But I'm more willing to believe that something more spiritual will happen. More evolutionary. Like a new era or something...with the indigo children. This is our future, anyway. It doesn't matter if it'll happen 2012, or 2030.
