I know there are some things that are consistantly different in the dream world, for most people. Like ...
books don't have words
Digital watches or clocks get all jumbled.
Mirrors show distorted reflections.
Lightswitches don't work properly.
Often hands don't have 5 fingers.
What other things are usually different in the dream world? Or even just for you?

People act different, colors can be different, and i can be in one place at one second, and somewhere else the next without realizing it. I'm sure there are plenty more!

You should be asking what isn't different!

That you are always yourself. Probably.

I like many others believe that we humans know very little about dreaming, lucid dreaming, and the brain.

My interpretation from various experiences of my family members, is that we are all connected- in this network of dreamers.

I guess we are connected in "the real life" too... but what's to say the dream isn't real? Just because it is given the term "dream"?

I think both are realities in which we flourish, and be ourselves. (when lucid of course)

I have read quite a few things in dreams.
I have checked the time on clocks in dreams (and also checked how it related to the time when I woke up)
I have seen my reflection in mirrors, sometimes it is acurate, sometimes it shows "other" impressions.
Never needed a lightswitch.
Counting ones fingers in dreams is a great way to "solidify" your lucidity. They will become clearer and more solid as you pay attention and count.

How you perceive things in dreams is based upon your own ability to perceive. Dreamscapes are "painted" with your own experiences of the world, and how clear the images are depend on how conscious you are within the dream (how lucid) .
So everyone would have different "consistencies" and even every dream you may have will have different consistencies. There is no universal level of perception.

Good post Rawn. I completely agree.

I don't know why, but for some reason, in dreams, and lucid ones, I am WAAYAAYYYYYY too impulsive. Its just not me.

Rather than enjoying the dreamscape, breathing in the air, feeling the beauty, and admiring it, I jump straight to do crazy stuff. I dont know why.
