I used to attempt lucidity all the time, but I gave up after a month of no success. I wouldn't even be the least bit lucid, even though I've tried everything possible. My dream self seems to be very stupid. *sigh*

I'm hoping this website can help me to become lucid (obviously). My goal is to have lucid dreams every night, but I'd settle for even one right now since that will take a long time to master. I think lucid dreams will really help me in life, and I can do things I'd never be able to do normally. That idea sounds very cool to me.

I'm only 13, so I have school during the week. That makes it hard for me to try certain techniques. So I have a disadvantage that adults don't have to worry about. On the other hand, since I'm technically still a child it should be easier for me. I'm not stupid, though.

If anyone has any tips or advice, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Keep reminding yourself of doing reality checks, maintain your dream journal, look for dream signs, etc... Eventually you'll start having lucid dreams. Don't think of it as "trying" a technique, because trying implies that you can/will fail. Just do it. Smile

And yes, the WBTB and WILD techniques are harder to do for children and teens, not because they have to go to school, but because interrupted sleep would interfere with their growth. So I wouldn't recommend them to you. You could of course do them in the weekends after sleeping as long as during the weekdays, but I think the rate of success is lower than say, sleeping for 4.5 hours and then doing them (for me it is anyway).

Good luck! Sweet dreams!

You actually wake up for a brief amount of time, without noticing, after each REM sleep period ! Very Happy That makes about four chances of recalling + jouraling if you get the hang of it!

That's what I do now Smile
