Hi,
yesterday i stumbled across a different technique for lucid dreaming. essentially, you are supposed to on one hand think about yourself sleeping but on the other hand imagine rubbing your hands and become lucid in a dream.
i think that I might have had a lucid dream with this technique, however i can't tell for sure, because everything that I remember is very blurry and I don't remember myself flying, which I surely would have done if I were lucid. In fact I'm not even sure where I was in the dream.
Now my question is did I really have a lucid dream, or was it just me dreaming about being lucid? I should add, that this was my first lucid dream (if it actually was a lucid dream) and I am really bad at recalling my dreams, so maybe I just forgot most of the lucid dream.
I would really appreciate your opinion on whether you think this was a lucid dream or not.
Thanks a lot

Very interesting. Unfortunately though, you are probably the only one who can figure out whether this was a lucid dream or not. We don't have the ability to enter your mind and find out for you.
I have heard about this technique and have used it, but for a different purpose. I heard that this technique is for extending lucid dreams and preventing premature awakenings. I am sure you have noticed that premature awakenings after attaining lucidity are common. I know they are for me. Basically, when you feel yourself waking up, rub your hands together in the dream. This will distract your mind from the sensations of your waking body, and cause it to focus on simulating the sensation of your hands being rubbed together. I have used this technique multiple times and it works like a charm. Another technique you can use to prevent premature awakening is spinning around in your dream.
You should certainly practice dream recall more. Otherwise this uncertainty will happen again. _________________ "Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night."-Edgar A. Poe |
