From what I've read, I've come to believe that the ability to manipulate your environment in a LD is something of a learned skill? Is it like strength training, as in the more you change little things the better you'll get and eventually be able to change big things?

Well it's actually pretty easy. It doesn't necessarily take time to hone. All you have to do is master your expectations and confidence. Expectation is at the center of dream control. (I think I've said this a lot. Dejavu Very Happy) So some people will learn it faster than others. It all depends on your ability to expect.

No problem. Make sure to share your experiences with us. Oh, but make sure to take note of this. Your expectations must be specific if you wish to optimize vivid detail. For instance, if you expect to feel wind blowing in your face when you fly, it will happen, and thus enhance the realistic atmosphere of your dream. Or if you want an explosion to look realistic, expect it to look the way you would envision a realistic explosion.

Well, I know it all comes easily to Dr. Condensate...he is a self admitted natural. It has taken practice for me, but I have seen much growth over the two years that I have practiced lucid dream control.
