Absolutely, you would definitely taste something. I've eaten pizza one time. Great experience. Research has shown that 'eating' does not occur frequently in ordinary non-lucid dreams. In lucid dreams however, eating is just another way of dream control.

hey hey,

I've tried eating chocolate once (no, I'm not a girl Wink) and it was amazing, it was a large chocolate number 2. I just became lucid in a really weird dream which involved a conveirbelt which tried to flood me with strange stuff (including chocolate letters and numbers Very Happy). The taste was just like chocolate and quite "real". After eating the chocolate I wanted to fly, so I ran up the stairs towards the attic and when I was standing in front of the window to jump out of it, I stopped... I reallised that the dream was so extremely real (when I touched the walls around me I could actually feel them) that I was affraid that maybe it was not a dream and that if I would jump, I would drop dead on the ground Razz The few moments of hesitation made me less-lucid and finally caused me to wake up... damn what a waste of a good lucid dream Very Happy

this all tasting experiences made me think of a few dreams i had when i was just a kid.

These dreams always occured when i got into bed after having drunk nothing. So i was very thirsty but also too lazy or maybe scared to jump out of bed and get me glass of whatever.

When i got into dreaming state this thirsty feeling did not end however. What happened then was the infinite search for water or anything drinkable, also my lips felt kind of raw. The few times that i was able to find something to drink in those dreams the liquid had a sour taste and didn't look like common liquids, they looked more like sirope or something. So drinking that gross stuff never was very satisfying.

However i do think i dream a lot about eating, which seems to be weird. I'm not at all gluttonous, eating-centered person though Razz . When i eat i never get the same taste as in the waking state. Maybe you never expect to taste anything in your dreams?

Gonna try it in lucid state, but before that i need to get lucid again... been a long while.

Stiggy pop.

I too get that sour taste in my mouth stiggy. It's not just water though. It's food, drink, girl, anything I put in my mouth during a dream really. I didn't really think of it though untill you said that, so I probably do experience other genre's of taste, but thats the only one I can remember. My mouth is actually getting that reacurring sour taste now that I'm writing about it.

WIERD Shocked ,

Josh

When i finally achieve lucidity i can control i would like to conjure up a wise man to talk to me about the nature of my excistance and excistance in general.

On a note following the thirst thing, i often have dreams right at the end of my sleep when i really need the toilet and i start to pass an impossable amount of fluid usually in some public place and i can't stop till i wake up and actually go!!

Perhaps you should just ask to speak to your higher self. A friend of mine (who is an experienced dreamer) did this and had great results. Hers a link to his video. Part one and two in order from top to bottom.

Very interesting video, it is the sort of thing i would like but i would also like to embody my higher self so i could engage myself in actual conversation.

I am going to try and meet my uncle who just recently passed away. I will ask him questions and see if there's anything he would like for me to tell his family. I was able to do this with a previous uncle. Just amazing! Very Happy
