At school they teach Religion. The subject during that class is now psychology. We were told to recall dreams and try explaining what they mean. Ever since that lesson my dreams seem to have gotten meanings. It's not like I didn't know they had meanings before that lesson, but my dreams just changed.
My church's minister comes by a lot, telling me I'm addicted to gaming, or trying to help me convert a friend.
I also was in a dream last Saturday in which someone stated the end of the world was near. I asked him why, and a girl answered "Because it's my birthday." It made me realize I should have gone to a party, but I had forgotten, and it woke me up.
I've also dreamt being nude a lot, but not caring the least about it.
But there are a lot of things I can't explain as well (I haven't been gaming a lot lately, so I surely can't be addicted).

So, can anyone explain why my dreams have gotten so meaningful ever since the lesson about how Freud interpreted dreams?

Oh, and by the way, I have a classmate who is a natural; I'll trying making him come to the lucid side!

If you find meaning in your dreams it means your subconscious is trying to tell you something, like the party. That's the only way he can communicate directly with you.

By the way, what do you think your minister would say it means to dream you are naked? I don't think there are any scientific studies that connect those things... It should have a meaning! Since it's your subconscious sending you messages that are important to it, hence important to you...

The reason why your dreams became so meaningful it probably because you tried to find a meaning for them. If you saw the little girl saying "because it's my birthday" and rolled over and went back to sleep that sign would pass beside you and it would have been just another weird dream. Really interesting would be if, because you didn't go to the party, the world would really end =P That would be a direct relation. Other than that I think it's just your subconscious talking to you, like it always does. You just didn't care to listen until now =]

Personally I don't beleive in dreams having "meaning", but for those who do, I remember hearing once that being naked in a dream means you feel like you need to be more exposed than you are already are in waking life, you want to get more exposure or be recognised for something

Thanks Shellcode, I will look into it more, or ask my subconscious to clarify the dreams before I go to bed!
Dylan, I also don't think dreams are anything more than just reviews of your life, your brain sorting all your memories. But if something is displayed a lot in dreams, it must mean something to me, since I've thought (subconsciously) about it. Thanks for the possible meaning, as well; I think I have some sort of an idea what he's trying to tell me if that's the meaning.

It's all about if you are open for the messages.
If you want that your SC gives you messages of what's going on with you i think it's really easy for the SC to make that adjustment.

I always thought that every person has dreams that have a meaning and are not just random. Now I know from reading different dreams from different persons that people who don't care about the meaning of their dreams actually do have very odd, and random dreams- simply because the SC does things by its own.

For me as an oneironaut i take interests in my dreams and I'm able to analyze any part of MY dreams that I can recall. But my SC knows that so the messages are really clear by now- If you want to help yourself, help your SC to solve a problem that's bothering you i'd say you start listening to your dreams. Very Happy

hint: it helps a lot if you first take a look on how differnt actions made you feel in the dream and then start to think about that Wink

Okay. So what you're hinting me is, doing something completely different for a day, and see what my SC thinks about it? If it reacts with scary dreams, I made a mistake? If I dream about party's and the like, I'm doing what my SC thinks I should do? Like that?

No, what i meant was take something from your dream and then see how it made you feel.

Here’s a good example :

Quote:
I've also dreamt being nude a lot, but not caring the least about it.

Now you’re saying that this didn’t bother you.
Now you compare it to your real live. How would you feel in real live if you are nude?
And then ask yourself why it is different in your dream than IRL what could be the reason for that be?
and so on....

Aha, I see. I'll do that with the dream I had last night!
