Yesterday I had a dream in which I killed someone, after serious consideration. I mean, serious consideration. I looked at the consequences and decided my duty as an assassin was to kill him, so I killed him. It was not a smooth kill, as I would have liked.

Have you had dreams like this, where you consciously decide to kill/hurt someone?

In a dream I had today me and two friends were running from a gang after killing two of its members. After becoming lucid and making my friends understand that it was a dream (because they were acting all scared and weeping), they even performed a nose pinch on themselves (that was amusing to see =P Could't help laughing) three gang members appeared in motorcycles and mini-uzis and started firing at me. I knew it was a dream but the attitude didn't please me and I jumped and delivered a powerful side kick in the helmet of the first one. The three of them fell and I left flying. I didn't thought that the action would hurt someone so I didn't had that dilemma but hey, the absence of social and moral laws in LDs is to be exploited inside LD =] It can be a way to free stress! Instead of the things we hear on the news every day...

I've dreamt about death too, last night. What a coincidence!
But in my dream I was the victim Sad I was taking part in the Hunger Games, which is a book about the Hunger Games, which is a 'game' in which children are forced to kill one another, like gladiators. I wanted to kill the other person, because he was the last one left, but I couldn't do it (Yay! I've got morals in dream), and he killed me instead.

Another time I pushed someone off some stairs, killing him. I felt sad, until someone made a joke about it.

Which means you also had to kill people, right? What did you feel when you did it? Or did it change over time? (Like the first time it's scary, but later on it's just so normal, that you barely notice).

Some time ago I had a dream where I had to kill my dog. like, HAD to. If I recall correctly, it changed, and at any time it was either my dog's body with another dog's head, or another dog with my dog's head, but either way, I had to kill it- and not in the humanitarian "putting it out of it's misery" kind of kill, like... it felt like i was being posessed to kill it. I literally grabbed it and held it down (I was crying), and twisted its neck. Probably one of the most messed up dreams I've had. when I woke up, I was kinda heartbroken.

I do remember now that I had a much more cartoony, game-like dream where I picked up an old lady and threw her over a cliff (long, long time ago). In the dream, I felt like a villain the whole time, and it was my duty to be sneaky and murdersome.

death in dreams is really weird. I guess just like things in other dreams, its all about the context - like, Thunal, when you were in this Hunger Games dream, did you know the other kid? or was it a stranger? I'm pretty sure that who or what you're killing makes a huge difference.

Twisted Evil

Well I think I have done just about everything possible in a lucid dream. But my basic thought is that it is always 'not real'. Whether I am pushing over a building, or attacking an animal. Not saying I lucid dream and decide to be a murderer, but have found myself in odd situations before in lucid dreams.

I think the 'comfort' in it is that it feels necessary in the dream, even when you are doing something you know you shouldn't, but when you wake up and remember it your realize that you could/would never be able to do it in real life.

Like I killed a dog once. I don't even remember why, but I consciously killed it extremely violently (in a lucid dream of course). But outside of dreaming hurting helpless animals makes me sick. I can't even stand that PITA puts out videos of animals getting hurt by others....(both my parents are Veterinarians, so I think hurting animals is not in my DNA...except for that weird LD).

Though if you wake up in the morning all excited that you just decapitated someone and find yourself sharpening your butcher knife and watching your wife sleep in bed while holding it.....well then....seek help!

When I kill people in dreams, it is never in LD. In ordinary dream it is usually like we both have guns and I have to defend myself. But when I become lucid remembering this nonsense is a dream, I usually use telekinesia power and throw them in the air to not kill them. I couldn't kill someone in LD even knowing they are ''not real''. Cause speaking with them is soo much interesting than killing them.[/code]

well one dream, i had an assault rifle from Halo 2

and i shot them all in a classroom.....

i felt nothing as i didnt know them.

another time, i had a bow. no arrows. it was me and this girl i liked, this was a couple months ago. and alot went through my mind, finnally i said "...love you" and smacked her to death and felt so horrible i woke up.

another time, i didnt even see anyone else, but we like, took breakes inbetween and all my teachers helped my rig a tree to hide in and wen i woke up, im like "what?..."

ive had TONS of hunger games dreams, but my point is, it matters who it is that u actually kill. so for me its ussually random DCs so i dont feel bad. but if its close people to u, then u feel bad...

That could very well be a factor, TH. I don't experience a lot of gory situations (killing, people bleeding a lot, arms cut off, that kind of thing), but in those few cases, it certainly made a difference to my emotional state if I knew the person in question. The reaction tends to be much more heavy.

Do you think this has to do with the emotional connections you have with those people, or a form of 'lucidity' that allows you to be more free to kill DC's?

this is all Really fucked up. I could never kill someone LDing unless somebody is in danger. Same in real life.

I had a non-lucid dream in which my whole family were out to kill me, for some reason they thought i had done something so bad as to warrant my execution.
Each of them came for me separately and in a different setting, mostly around my home town in the country. Every time one came for me i would somehow be one step ahead of them and kill them before they killed me.
After each person i felt really bad because, for some reason i could not explain to them that i was innocent but instead had to kill them to save my own life.

i have no problems with any of my family and have strong morals, why would i be dreaming such a disturbing and uspetting dream?

interpretations ?

This could have nothing to do with your family. It coud just be with people that you are really close with.

Whenever I see my sister in any of my dreams, I consciously become enraged and kill her. It feels so good to do so.
