|
|
So ive decided to get a reality check tattoo. after a lot of searching ive decided the rough idea is going to look like this. I was just looking for some feed back. what do you guys see in this? this btw is going to be my first tattoo. and im going to change it a little so that several of my dream signs are below the eye and have archetypes of being awake above it. otherwise this is pretty much what it'll look like. and it'll only be around 2x2"

nice,
but maybe befor you do that, make sure it functions properly as a RC...
i mean, if you have it for years, then your mind will accept it s part of you and it might appear normal in a dream...
i dont know what you are thinking so i though i should just let you consider that.
well wishes.
by the way... check out UV ink or GLO ink. they react to ultraviolet light and glow or flouresce. but you cant see it in daytime! |

That's such a good idea! I'd say the more details it has, the better. Just so there's a greater chance your mind will mess something up with the design. _________________ Are you dreaming? |

That's awesome! Reminds me a bit of the "totems" from Inception. Where will you place it?
But like the others said, it might be incorporated in your dreams without you noticing it, over time. Details make it more effective. Text would be great. |

| ya, text is a good idea. something really abstract but meaningfull, that way it is even more specific and more confusing for you dream mind to recreate. |

Ill probably place it on the inside of my forearm. I love the idea for a word. I have a couple ideas. what kind of archetypes do you guys think would represent being awake, conscious, or lucid? _________________ Open your eyes... and dream! |

Just pointing out that your dreaming mind is your waking mind, so that won't work. _________________ Quare? Quod vita mea non tua est. |

Oh my...lucid dreaming has such power over people's lives...
I say that because I did my first tattoo, because of lucid dreaming, too, but with another idea. I have a feather on the back of my neck. It resembles the freedom of mind and spirit. I did it because of my believes and lucid dreaming, which changed my way of thinking.
So good luck with doing your first tattoo /it doesn't hurt / and I like it very much because you did it yourself and it's going to be unique. I drew mine myself, too. Mine can't be used as a reality check, cause I can't really see it, but I hope yours work in dreams.!
Good luck! _________________ When I'm asleep do I really remember how to fly...and forget how when i wake up? Or I'm just dreaming i can fly? |

I know! I have never really considered getting a tattoo, but I think more and more about it. "Dream" tattoos are really common, but how many people really pay attention to their dreams and study them the way we do? That is why I want mine to say "Oneironaut" or something like that because it weeds out all of those "overuse the word dream" people. Then some might ask me the meaning of the word on my tattoo, I always love striking up a conversation about LDing. _________________ I'm goin' in... |

Well, when I was 18, my mind was far from getting a tattoo, or even thinking about it. I made it for my 20th birthday, though _________________ When I'm asleep do I really remember how to fly...and forget how when i wake up? Or I'm just dreaming i can fly? |

I have a tattoo of a treble clef on my finger. Ive been using it as part of my reality check. I look at my finger to one: make sure its there, two: make sure it hasnt or doesnt change. I have over 50% of mu body covered in tattoos but I have not yet seen any of them in my dreams _________________ forever dreaming |

| I reckon a trigger Tattoo is a great Idea, i have a Scar on my palm which i try to use, because although i have had it for years, i don't identify myself with it so it dosn't turn up in dreams. |

| I just take a sharpie to the back of my hand every now and then, it's worked as an RC once in the past few months, so that's a start! |
