Hey!
Yesterday, I was watching TV. I was a little tired because I learned before that. I just took my pillow and I fell asleep. I started to dream, something with NFS Hot Pursuit (lol). The police was chasing me, so I stopped, and the police cars still chase me...Even my car didn't move, the kilometer was close to 74... I realized that I'm dreaming, and I said: "I don't want to be caught by the police." and then I woke up.
Was this REM sleeping? Was I close to lucid dream? What mistake I did? Any advices?
Thank you! Very Happy

Sorry for my bad English, I'm not native, I'm from Romania. Smile

Yes, you were lucid dreaming! As long as you realize that you're dreaming in the dream, it's a lucid dream.

It's common for beginners to wake up when they become lucid because of excitement. You should be able to overcome that with experience.

It happened again. Another dream, I realized that I'm dreaming, I looked at my hands, but the dream and my hands got foggy, and then I woke up. What to do?

congratulations with your LD! Very Happy

make yourself more aware of the dream:
-say it out loud when you realise it is a dream
-recall your real body lying in bed

what also may help is to feel your hands (by putting them together) instead of looking at them, because your sight can become foggy, your feeling can't!
