So I have been single for awhile now and have been loving all of the freedom that comes along with it of course but I am starting to get bored just hanging out with my guy friends all of the time so have been thinking strongly about getting a girlfriend. Well this has been creeping my way into my dreams and lastnight I had a great dream about having a girlfriend, no sex in the dream but just being together to the point that I was actually extremely pissed of when I woke up and I tried to go back to sleep hoping to go back into the same dream but had no success. Anyone else ever get really mad when waking up from a good regular non-lucid dream like this?
Reminded me of Neo when he was first taken from the matrix, confused and at one point angry. Gotta love it though. |

Yes. I hate having a really really awesome dream and then waking up and finding out it wasn't real. _________________ And also I lost my clothes. |

| I wake up upset almost every morning. Not because it was a dream that was good and did not want it to end, but because it was a nightmare or mind boggeling situation. I rarely have them dreams where I met a beautiful girl, and felt total peace. I want to be able to change my chaotic nightmarish dreams into something that will give me peace of mind upon awakening. |

Oh yes, I used to have those dreams all the time. It's normal to feel frustrated when waking up, but like Neo you have no choice but to accept it. Would you rather know Truth or continue living in blissful ignorance? The red pill or the blue pill? It's an age-old question.
The frustration is a sign of attachment (neediness). Just let it go. Desire is the cause of suffering. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7uigXd4Py8

Well, you've come to the right place Being lucid can help you overcome these nightmares. The trick is to confront whatever is haunting you and accept it, learn from it. Don't try to run, fight it or forcefully change it. You'll only give it more energy by resisting it. Resistance is futile |

| Thank you Lence, I was able to take something from the video. I feel my dreams somewhat corespond with the way I'm feeling when I'm awake. Everyone in life has at least one fear to overcome. Mine is just taking a really long time to conquer. I do have trouble just letting go, and I will take your advice and apply it to my life. I am trying to get a dream report in to the Lucidity Institiute, but now I know I have to be able to recall them I've been having trouble remembering. One thing is for shure is that the dreams havn't gone anyware. Anyway, thank you for the advice. |
