Hi everyone,
After a very inspiring weekend in Bern with Stephen LaBerge, Tim and Daniel Erlacher I decided to take up forum activity again. Apart from meeting LaBerge, of course, it was great to meet Tim in person and to have inspring talks about lucid dreaming! So thanks, Tim, for indirectly bringing me back here on the site.
I had an account here a few years ago, but wanted to start from scratch after I took some time off all forums and similar. My full name is Melanie Schädlich. I have long been interested in dreams in general and I am a lucid dreamer since I am 19. I am still very much fascinated by the topic - personally and in research. I studied psychology in Bonn and wrote my diploma thesis on lucid dreaming with Daniel Erlacher when he was still in Heidelberg. This was an extremely exciting experience to watch the polysomnographic recordings of my sleeping participants in many nights! Currently I am not working in the field for a living, but writing on some scientfic articles and planning my PhD on the subject. Hope that works out.
I came back here to learn from lucid dreamer's experiences, to share my own experiences, thoughts and perspectives as well as research knowledge as far as I feel confident about it. It might take me some time to get started again, because I am quite busy at the moment.
Concerning my own lucid dreams, I am currently trying a lot of new stuff (e.g. healing), after reading Robert Waggoners book and I would like to comprehend the dream state in general more. At the moment I have about 10 lucid dreams a month on average, but, of course aiming to have more.
Feel free to contact me any time about anything.
I wish you all enlightning dreams!
