i have been trying to lucid dream for about 2 and a bit months now, i have a dream every night but i have only had 4 lucid dreams 3 of which i woke instantly and the other i was only lucid for a second. anyway my point is i'm starting to think that i cant lucid dream can someone help me believe that i can lucid dream because if i don't think i can lucid dream i probably wont Exclamation Exclamation .

Dude, you're doing better than most newbies. Try modulating your emotions for a bit.

Also the weird thing is that I don't even have
Enough time to get excited about being lucid.

Practice what you would do and how you would handle it *right now* if you found out you were dreaming. I used to do that by day and it helped. I also use some verbal commands like "I am going to stay in the dream now."

I still have some where I don't have any time and I wake up. Just stick with it, because pessimism won't help you any. Very Happy

You said it yourself: if you believe you can, you can. I would second all of the advice above, plus this: Find what inspires you to lucid dream and focus on that for thirty seconds. Then find something that inspires calm in you--an image of nature is usually nice--and think of that for thirty seconds. Train yourself to be calm when thinking about dreaming, while being excited at the same time. They aren't mutually exclusive, just difficult to have coincide. Also, focus on your breath. Breathe deeply and evenly.
