I was laying still in bed telling myself I was going to have a lucid dream. I layed completely still and tricked my mind into sleep paralasyis which I didn't experience because I was already in a lucid dream. Once in the dream I was in my bed. I did a reality check (Nose plug) and found I was dreaming. My heart pounded insanely as I felt such control. I tried my best to calm down and I did. I got out of bed and sat at my desk and started to float. All because of a WILD technique.

Im trying for 3 weeks to get my 1st Ldreams (using WBTB and MILD sometimes). Is it possible for me to have my first lucid dreams using WILD because I cant fall asleep using WBTB. For how long have you been trying and were these your first Ldreams??

A WILD can be a wild ride indeed.

It took me about a month to have a DILD. Don't worry, just be patient and keep learning, reading about LDing, practicing techniques and most of all: journaling!

WILDing is best combined with WBTB. The reason is that the typical sleep pattern begins with long stages of non-REM, deep sleep and short REM periods. After a couple of hours, the sleep cycles shift to more REM sleep, which makes dream recall easier. With WILD, you directly enter REM sleep, so it's best to do this in the early morning.

Try waking up earlier (6, 4.5 or 3 hours after bedtime). WBTB is most effective if you stay awake for 30 to 45 minutes before going back to sleep. Also, avoid light before going back to sleep. Semi-darkness is best.

The trick with WILD is to be very, very patient and to stay very still. Stay as relaxed as you can and don't move a muscle. It will get easier Smile

most of all: journaling!

I second this. Since starting to journal seriously again, I have a lucid dream frequency of about 1 lucid dream per 1.5 weeks (7-8% of my recalled dreams are lucid), while practicing very little induction techniques.
Journalling is the largest factor affecting your lucidity. Trying to lucid dream without journalling is kind of like trying to lose weight without watching what you eat. The more you do it, the better the results.
