Cool site, i've lots of lucid or partially lucid dreams, my first sure one occured after playing an all text game where i could interact with and create parts of this all text world(a MUD, all-text version of wold of warcraft, its called http://www.abandonedrealms.com) you see with minds eye when you read.
I was on a boat with paris hilton for one part of the dream, and some one else, and i was given coffee, i thought to myself, "i dont like coffee" and looked down at the cup again... it was gatorade, so I drank it and it tasted like gatorade... I remember many dreams. Sometimes i dream i wake up and look at the clock too see what time it is then sleep again. as a kid i had dreams sometimes that i would remember as reality, and would tell my family this happened, but then find out it was a dream. sometimes i wish i never said anything...
I remember details from some of the nightmares i had as a kid that send shivers up my spine today. I've dreamt of flying alot, just pushing up from the ground and using my mind to focus on being light, I love it, once i even flew through outerspace and it was beautiful. one thing thats kind of wierd is I've often had dreams where i put my hands on the ground and pull myself around with incredible speed while by feet float behind... lol.
I rap, freestyle and write, I've allways been an artist and have had dreams where i would freestyle raps that sound awesome. Some of the most vivid dreams i had was when i was in jail for a couple months. Once when doing hard labor that required me to thrust my arms forward i woke up with hands flying out thinking "i've got to push these boards!!"
I think its really interesting that thing they talk about in "waking life" an animated flic I just saw recently, they say your imagination and memory are toned down by chemicals when your awake so that when you remember something which happened, lets say a tiger attacking you, you wont be started by the memory because you'll know its not real, but in sleep the imagination isnt held back. Life feels like a dream to me sometimes honestly. I'm really into buddhism, zen, and philosophy of illusion and the search for truth.
I've honestly felt in control of my actions in most all my dreams which usually are task oriented or adventurous, however I dont completely realize its a dream, its like part of me is telling the story and i keep another part that I see the story through which doesnt know about the control, concerning my degree of control I would say its usually very good... I've had some of the most twisted, evil dreams.....i cant believe that MY MIND thought up some of those ... dimensions... and other types, I've felt pain, tasted food, gotten high, all in dreams.. I'm looking forrward to using this sight and having some of those good dreams again, that would be great to lead a second life while i snooze.
absolutely,
peace out,

You've had some very interesting experiences.
Welcome to the board.
I'm new myself and while I've had my share of lucid dreams as a kid, I'm having to struggle to have them as an adult.
Looking forward to reading about some of your lucid experiences on the board. _________________ I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free. ~Michaelangelo~ |

I am here to update you on my progress and let it be known, I am still having interest in our shared topic.
here are some inspiring books I've discovered in the last four years.
The Tibetan book of the dead
The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep
lucid dreams in 30 days (or any number of lucid dreaming handbooks)
I have not improved my skills at lucid dreaming since previous post. I am now working on improving this skill by doing a meditation to increase focus among other lucid practices.
often when dreaming now I walk/run on my hands, weird huh? Walking on my hands is something I've always wanted to do.
also I think its worth mentioning another mode of movement I experience while dreaming.
often when dreaming I sort of jump and bend me knees a little, than my feet float slightly above the ground and I am pushed forward floating as by an unseen energy. perhaps this energy is similar to that which a dreamer uses to create 'wind' for flying.
I've purchased a long list of dream enhancing supplements discussed in the book:
Advanced Lucid Dreaming: The Power of Supplements
However there is no magic lucid dream pill, it takes great effort and desire on the part of the dreamer. This path is nothing less than raw spirtual development.
one love,
sincerely,
