What psychology careers are there to choose from? I like Psychology, but I don't want to be anything like a psychologist. What other careers are there along the psychology lines that have a little less communication with people? I also like dream psychology and forensics. So, if you know any careers that incorporate one of those, that would be helpful as well.

Lol.

You might want to consider artificial intelligence or linguistics. Very interesting fields.

Psychology is a career that has many different fields, such as research, consulting, diagnosing and teaching. It is one of the hottest careers anybody can get into today. A psychology degree can provide an outstanding background for almost any career you choose to pursue.

It almost sounds as if you were trying to sell something, but I agree. I think Tim or Benjamin once mentioned cognitive psychology would be a good base for lucid dream study, or neuroscience.

Or sports science, especially in Europe. Most "dream researchers" I met in Bern were officially sports science researchers (like Daniel Erlacher, although he isn't focused on dream research now).

Hey mate,

I plan to get into psychology once I'm out of school. Trust me when I say that if you choose psychology the amount of doors that can open up for you are almost limitless. Don't be confined to thinking it's the good ol' sit in the chair and talk to people.

There is business psychology, whether that be in advertising, business team management, marketing research etc. There's more than that but there's some stand out areas.

Military psychology, such as counselling or even tactical planning, that range is also quite extensive.

Sports psychology, I know a few who write articles on target shooting and have studied the brain in order to find ways to maximise you're results through certain mindsets etc.

The list is endless, this is a small amount.
