It happens to everyone, I often wake up and think: Oh dang, why didn't I recognize this as a dream? It it because our brain thinks dreams are real. If you want a reality check to work, it has to be an automatism deep in your unconsciousness. It still is very hard to reality check in a dream. _________________ Fantasy is endless |

That's the thing, there is no immediate solution for this problem. It will only go away through habit. There is no other solution for it. You will just have to keep on trying. If there was a direct solution everyone was a master lucid dreamer and sadly enough there isn't. _________________ Fantasy is endless |

Are you using the nose-pinch? Use the nose-pinch.
Most of all, during reality checks, you have to be questioning reality. This has to become an integral part of the reality check itself.
Just a couple of months ago when I was in a somewhat dream-like situation, I decided to perform a reality check (I was in fact dreaming at the time), but did not pay proper attention to it and thus failed to become lucid.
This was a reminder to focus more on the reality check when I performed them and since I haven't had a single reality check fail. _________________ Quare? Quod vita mea non tua est. |

pinching my nose a good quick and easy reality check. I do it while i am awake rght through the day, but when my dream life starts I just will not remember that I should pinch my nose, nor do any dream signs sofar have made me ask: Am I dreaming? I will of course keep trying, but with 80 how much time have I got left? (German joke) |

i did not say that Iam aware. I remember most of my dreams, but I am not aware that I am dreaming while I am dreaming. |

| Then, that is not lucid dream. If you are aware that you are dreaming then you should do a reality check by pinching your nose. |

I said I remember a lot of my dreams. to make it clear. Only after I have woken up, and write them down in my dream journal I do have long and great dreams, but the remain dreams as I never ask myself in the dreams: Am I dreaming? I do while awake reality checks, but sofar never while dreaming, and for that reason I am looking for tips, not the obvious basic, but perhaps a new tip. |
