I've been practicing lucid dreaming on and off for about 4-5 months and have had several dejavu experiences but heres the most mind blowing one for myself. Hopefully you will share your specific precognitive dreams....
I work at a catering hall where wedding receptions, sweet sixteens, ect are held as a waiter. One night i got realllllyyyy drunk on the job and my girlfriend actually had to help me clean my table because of the fear of my dropping things off my tray. anywayysss....
When i got off work i realized i dropped my phone somewhere in my stupor and it was nowhere to be found by anybody...
i went home and had a dream in which i was at work and was looking all over the building for my phone, asking around for it...when a coworker "L" had it and handed it over..
the next morning i tracked down the phone through calls made from the phone on the at&t website, and the exact person "L" had my phone! I went to her house and she was obviously going to keep it for herself, though i made her hand it over.
I rarely talk to or even see the person "L". just a casual coworker, didnt even think of her that night.
anybody else had an experience as specific as this?? |

Wow, relaly interesting that, the only thing I can say about that is you must've known something about her or known that she had it, and, while being drunk your subconcious picks it up while you don't remember it, revealing it in a dream. The only contact I've had with this is my brother once asked if my newlywed aunt was having a divorce having heard it in a dream. He asked her sister (our mum) about it and she said she knew nothing about it. Surely enough, I cant remember, either a week later, or on that same day, my aunt had a divorce. Weird stuff I must say. _________________ 'Learn Everything about Something, and Something about Everything'.. |

I had a dream where a volcano was about to erupt. I sent my dog into the woods to protect a certain bear. The volcano blew and sent one boulder flying, which struck the bear and killed it. I went to see it in the forest, and found my dog skinning the bear. Next morning I saw on the news: "a hostile bear was shot late last night after attacking a jogger. The bear was later skinned at the nearest cottage." If you want to read the whole thing, click on the link below:

Very exciting dreams guys. There's another one that my mom told me about. Many years ago, they knew a woman who went down to El Salvador to do some missionary work. My mother (believes) that she dreamed that the woman drove off of a cliff and died.
Then some time later the woman actually did drive off of a cliff and died while doing a clothing delivery. _________________ "I and me are always too deep in conversation: how could one stand that if there were no friend? For the hermit the friend is always the third person..." |

Pretty crazy. Yes, I had a dream that I lost an item with a particular pattern on it after it was given to me, and kept looking for it but couldn't find it. In the dream, I really valued it, but I couldn't remember why. Months later, I was given a boomerang with the exact design on it, by my sister. I valued it highly because she's one of the best people ever and her gifts mean a lot, plus it was a great gift because she knew I would enjoy learning the skill. I threw it and lost it on the first throw, and spent weeks looking for it, never to see it again. _________________ |

| That has happened to me too. When I was a child I lost my gameboy. I was so sad, because my mom would be disappointed I lost it. That night I had a dream that A, my brother had put it behind a bookshelf. The next morning I looked behind the bookshelf to see if I was crazy, but it was right behind the bookshelf just like I dreamed! I told my mom and she didn't believe me. |

My husband and I had a shared and strange dream. We both dreamt (on the same night, about the same time) that my cousin - who lived in another state of Australia from us, was hurt. We don't often speak to her, nor her us as somtimes happens when people move far away, so I can't even say we heard from her which caused the dream.
Anyways, the dream, and the fact that my husband had a similar one kept playing on my mind so I decided to call her just to make sure she was OK and it turns out her dad had a heart attack that night. Very strange indeed, but I just put it down to coincidence, in a world full of 8 billion souls, the odds of 8 billion to 1 happen every day. |

Hi, I could really do with some help here.
I've had premonitions before but they've often been few and far between but a few nights ago I woke up in the night from a really horrible dream.
I was at the starting line of a marathon, in America in the dream I was certain I was in New York. The race was in a street near a load of shops, as the race started one of the runners lost there shoe and there was a big pile up. I remember turning away but I could still see blood and there were people screaming, as if all the runners were continuing to crush one another.
My mum told me this morning about the Boston marathon and the events were so similair it really shook me, I hope I don't sound insensitive but this hasn't been my first premonition and I really want to know how to control it so that maybe I can warn others in the future. |

Hi DreamNeko, four quick comments to your post:
1) Before claiming a precognitive dream; objectively compare what you wrote down in your journal with the actual facts. What matches up and what doesn't? If you didn't write it down before it happened - forget about it! We humans are extremely good at recognizing patterns everywhere, but unfortunately, that means we often detect patterns in random noise; false positives. As a child, ever got scared of seeing something in the shadows that turned out to be a harmless object?
2) Even if you could objectively verify the precognitive event - how would you go about knowing future dreams are precognitive too and not just fantasy (like most dreams are)? Taking your dreams too seriously is a slippery slope.
3) What happened in Boston is terrible, but please don't let the media and the fear get to you. Thousands of people die every day, sometimes in even more horrible circumstances, that is the reality of life. Events like the bombing in Boston are actually very rare. It would be great if we could avoid them altogether, but there's no point in worrying about them as an individual. You can be of much better service to others if you focus on what's real for you right now, right where you are, instead of paying attention to what we are told by the mass media.
4) If you still seek to explore mystical dreams and understanding reality, which is very admirable by itself, then I'd simply recommend practicing lucid dreaming, keeping a dream journal and meditation. Tibetan yogis have some interesting things to say about precognitive dreams. Check out books like "The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep" by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche for example. Just maintain a skeptical, open-minded attitude and you'll be fine.
Hope that helped. |

Thank you that was really helpful . Keeping a dream journal is definatly something I'm going to start. I was still really freaked out when I wrote the less entry and what you say makes sense so hopefully a dream journal will help me with what I precisesly saw. |
