I were having a sleep-over with my friend. She fell asleep before i did and i (felling like an idiot) started talking to her. I said things like; you are sleeping, remember this is a dream and try to become lucid. The funny part was when she woke up and told me she had a lucid dream, but forgot it after 10 min in the dream. Is it possible to make other people have lucid dreams by talking to them? And is it somebody who have done something simmilar?

Thanks for the replies guys! I think it that if it`s possible then people who have problems with it can have their first lucd dream...

I think it's possible to talk people into having a lucid dream. Like you can use the light from a cellphone or something to light on your friends eyes and then they dream about something with light (Like a dreamsign).

I have experienced that I could hear the TV while I was sleeping and that made me dream about what I could hear.
and also I could hear the music from my cellphone, and I dreamed that I woke up from my bed. looked out from my window and could see this concert with one of the bands I loved. And it felt so real and I think I controlled it, without knowing that I was dreaming.

I hope you (and other people) can use this : )
- And I'm sorry for the bad English.

I have no direct experience with it myself yet, but it is certainly possible. Stephen LaBerge has done extensive research with induction techniques using external devices. The NovaDreamer is the result of this research (there are other, similar devices too).

He found that light cues work better than auditory signals btw. I don't remember the exact percentages of success, but it can probably be found on the lucidity.com website. Usually these external stimuli get integrated in the dream somehow (light flashes might become a lightning strikes in the dream for example) and can help trigger lucidity if the dreamer recognizes them.

We did a bit of research and found a few sites like www.luciddreaming.com as well as www.dreamingmask.com but I want to be steered in the right direction....please help! What sites offer the most reliable information. Thanks!

That's like asking the owner of Walmart which is better: Walmart or Target?

I'm going to have to go with this site. Luciddreaming.com is very good, but kind of hard to navigate.
