|
|
Hi all!
How do I do to make a lucid dream clearer or more detailed? How to reinforce the lucidity?
Probably it has to do with how rested one is when entering a lucid dream, right?
My last dreams have had a kind of foggy feeling to them, dark and blury (still totally concious) compared to a couple of earlier experiences when the experience was divine, supernatural, larger than life, total recall and amazing insights etc.
Thanks for answears! Gold |

Many times I can just use verbal commands, I may shout "I want more clarity!" or, "I want to see my hands out in front of me!" This usually works quite well. I even use it if a dream is fading, I just yell, "I am not done yet!" LOL _________________ I'm goin' in... |

Rubbing your hands also works because it makes your brain focus on the physical sensation in the dream and that makes the dream more vivid . |

Sometimes my lucid dreams are or become blurry. When this happens, I look for my glasses (and expect to find them), put them on and voila, the LD suddenly becomes a lot more clear.
The best techniques are those you believe in. They don't always need to make sense btw, not at all actually.
Tricks that generally work with most people is rubbing hands as said before, spinning and looking closely at details really fast. |

Hi Rox, thanks for your reply. Yes, I have tried that and it works really well,
still my lucids these days are very dark, I have a hard time to see clear. Guess I am too tired to lucid dream actually...
Does handrubbing work for you, do you have any other good techniques? |

Hi Lence! I wish I had glasses, that is a perfect way to go about it if it really works... Most of the times I dont remember what to do, spinning for example, have only done it once, I will try the shouting and talking amongst handrubbing and looking at things.
We want to accieve everything at once but it takes time, If I am happy I have one lucid in two weeks, so... But I guess the get more frequent once you break the code... |

First of all, when you expirience lucid dreaimnd, you will mostly get excited. Your body will think its a nightmare and will make your brain to wake you up.
so just try to stay calm, like this situation has nothing special.
Rubbing your hands[u/]
rub your hands togheter till you feel the heat. It was tested and the people who tested it found out that 90% of most people's lucid dreams will become more "clear". also, you wont get into to a new place using this.
[u]Spining
Spin around yourself (like childs do to feel "loopy") . It helps to do it if you feel that the lucid dream might end any moment.[/b] |

Thanks Uvero, I will try the spinning next time, only done it once. Usually forget what to do... until I tried it a few times then it gets routine. Thanks! |

An issue to clarify if its the dream scene that's unclear, or the dreamer's consciousness, or both.
However, for either issue, I have found that sometimes the stabilizing techniques overlap.
The stabilizing measures that have helped me the best are:
1. "Lucid declaration" I repeat to myself several times "I am lucid dreaming"; "I'm in a lucid dream"; ect
2. Performing an experiment or task: Especially closely scanning the dream scene for patterns and focusing on them up close.
3. Saying a "lucid mnemonic": "I am lucid for the vivid experiencing of this dream." (I realise lucid, vivid and clear are all similar- but this works for me)
4. Spinning.
5. Also, if the dream scene is murky or not clear, sometimes I just accept this and focus on a part of it. This has often transitioned into an altered state. _________________ larry |

| By making the dream clearer, you mean by making it feel more like real life? |

I sometimes think that "vibrant" might be a better word to convey what people are trying to get at when they use the word "vivid"; at least on some occasions. _________________ larry |

Lucidity in a dream can be compared to waking consciousness as a reference point, and something useful to obtain.
But I don't think that this is necessarily all there is. For one thing I think in dreams, and especially in lucid dreaming, we might have an opportunity to develope, to go beyond, or to transcend our experience beyond our regular waking life. So I question if real life is the final goal or "Gold standard." _________________ larry |
