Did I awake?

I had this upsetting dream just about an hour ago and i had realized pretty far into it that it was odd suddenly i felt this inconsistency and all audio and visual had stopped, and i had the feeling that at any moment i could open my eyes. i had kept them closed for about five seconds and then opened them because nothing else was coming to me everything was black and it felt as though i was awake, was it just me or was i actually still asleep because i don't really seem to know the difference yet. If this i s confusing to you ill be back on later to try to explain better. Thanks

From what it seems, you just landed in the black void. The black void is a sort of stage between dreams. If you watch Tim's videos, it's explained.
Basically, you were asleep, but conscious.

Actually i was just thinkin, i may have disrupted it again because everything seized when i realized that it wasnt reality, i knew that i didnt word it too well the last time.
