|
|
Thanks to the television I now have two idea's for what we could use lucid dreaming.
1. recall the face of a criminal. I saw a show where someone had to recall someone's face, which he couldn't. So they tried hypnosis. It failed, but we, as trained oneironauts, could easily fall asleep, remember the face and describe it.
2. Defy a hypnosis. I saw this show called 'the power of one'. The people that were supposedly hypnotized played their part horrible (I don't believe they were really hypnotized, because the way they acted didn't seem realistic and you can't just hypnotize someone outdoors, where there's a lot of noise).
But maybe we can beat the hypnotist, because we are lucid, even in a state where you would normally believe anything (dreamscape). So why not in a hypnotic state?
The post is a little longer than I had hoped, but the point is simple: we are stronger than hypnosis! (I think, I haven't tried it out, yet). |

Because in the dream you could create the image of the criminal yourself, the image may not come from true memories. But if your desciption matched the description of a suspect it could at least possibly help point the police towards investigating that person more.
As far as hypnosis goes. Coming from someone that has been hypnotized before it takes a lot of "effort" in order to let yourself relax enough to get into a really hypnotic state. Or at least it does for me. But i can see where there could be a similarity between a lucid state of mind and a hypnotic state of mind. |

I think I found another one: beating the lie detector. We might practice lying, or tell ourselves (i.e. our subconscious) not to get frightened when telling a lie.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts |
