I was taking this just because I'm interested in enlightenment and all that. I ran across a few articles today, and it turns out that people report having "crazy dreams" with it.

I got it at the health store. It doesn't make me high or sleepy or anything. I was taking it before I joined lucidipedia. I kind of wonder if it is the reason I started having the intense lucid dreams!

Here is one guys experience.

I've had many lucid dreams in the past 10 or so years. Prior to that I was never really able to grasp that I was dreaming at the time, but I clearly remember the "breakthru" dream and my ability to control it. The sensation upon waking was amazing, fully refreshed and vibrant. Over the past 6 years the occurrences have diminished in number, due to decreasing my alcohol and "recreational" drug use to zero (definitely a contributor early on...I'm not recommending it btw). Now to the topic...recently I began taking Holy Basil for an increased sense of well-being which was recommended by an herbalist. Almost immediately (less than a week perhaps....1 pill, 2x day) I commented to my wife on the increased vividness of my dreams, and their intensity. As a PTSD patient due to combat stress in Desert Storm sometimes vivid dreaming is not a great experience, but recently that hasn't been an issue, which I can attribute to a combination of Holy Basil, Wellbutrin (anti-depressant) and Buspar (anti-anxiety). Almost every night now my dreams, especially with no outside noise to influence them (leaving the TV on...that sorta thing) are amazingly vivid and with increasing occurrences of lucidity. I can definitely say there's a direct relation to the inclusion of Holy Basil, although it might be in combination with Wellbutrin and Buspar as well.
