Sorry if this is wrong section.. They need to make a "General" section.
Hey, all. I got into lucid dreaming around a week ago. For the first week I couldn't stop thinking about it... All I could imagine was how fun it'd be.
But suddenly... I stopped thinking about it. I used to do much over 50 reality checks a day, and now I've been reduced to nearly 1/10th of that. I keep forgetting to remind myself about lucid dreams, and regardless of how much I truly want to have lucid dreams, I just can't seem to muster any more motivation.
Can someone help me find a way to grasp the subject more firmly, because this is one thing I do NOT want to give up. _________________ I'm dreaming..? I'm Dreaming?? I'M DREAMIIIN- *wake up* |

You need to set goals and start practicing some technique, like MILD, to achieve them, otherwise you will start losing interest. The only way to stay motivated is to achieve the goals and set new ones, just practicing RCs doesn't work =P Read some MILD or WBTB tutorials to get your first lucid! _________________ If you live by the sword you will die by the sword |

Well, people say that it's best to have 1 to 2 dreams a night before attempting to dream lucidly, which is a problem for me. _________________ I'm dreaming..? I'm Dreaming?? I'M DREAMIIIN- *wake up* |

Just keep at it... and before you know it you will lucid dream.
Keep doing reality checks etc. and once it becomes a routine you'll surely do it in a dream and voila - you're lucid!
If you keep forgetting about it I'd suggest setting an alarm in your cell phone for twice a day or something like that. |

Do you want a good objective? Adopt this objective: Today I will write one dream in the middle of the night.
Just this. The fact that you write your dream will increase your lucidity level and help you get your lucid dream.
It has another advantage that is you get a dream that you can study =] Normally you dream with many things but there are some topics that repeat themselves. Once you figure out what do you dream with regularly you will be able to practice RCs more objectively! It doesn't help if you do RCs just for doing them. But if you do them with an objective it's completely different ;] _________________ If you live by the sword you will die by the sword |
