Greetings forums. Nice to meet you. I just wanted to throw this out there and see what kind of responses I get. This has happened enough times now for me to start to wonder why.
6 years ago, during my undergrad years, I had begun to take afternoon naps, and was introduced abruptly and horrifyingly to sleep paralysis/halucinaion/omgwhatshappening. I'm starting to document them in the journals section, and it'll take me a while because i have a lot of them.
Anyway, One afternoon nap, I slipped right on into that concious nether-region of semi-sleep, and (this time) passivly awaited whatever horrors or pleasantries might happen. Long story short, after a short period of whatever happened that time, my brain began to fee like it was buzzing (not to be confused with my head). This increased in intensity for about 10 seconds, until it was completely unbearable and painful, like electrocution. At it's peak I promptly awoke with only an echo of the physical feeling, but the whole memory of the pain.
It happened at least once more several years later, and now just recently happened again, this time during normal sleep, and this time feeling more like my brain was being squashed inward from all angles, as well as some shock-like feel to it.
It's simply disconcerting.
Also, i'm pretty sure i'm not sticking my finger in the socket next to my bed....LOL |

Interesting!
Well, perhaps try to concentrate on directing the energy (pretending that the electric shock/pain is energy) throughout your entire body. Or try directing it out of your body through a spot just above, between the eyes or heart.
Just a few suggestions put together from curious reading of eastern religion. _________________ close your eyes.... |

Wow that seemms unplesant dunno maybe you react to sleep paralysis differently to most people.
The only pain or disconfort i feel about dreaming is when waking up and trying to remember the last night dreams, if i do it for too long my brain feels hot an and i become very cofused and i feel like im going to throw up =( _________________ If you can dream it, do it |

| many times I feel intense pressure at the top of my head like my head is going to pop open but once that energy or sensation is released I immediately go into the lucid dream. Its as if lucid consciousness has to build up or something |
