| Brace yourselves. I'm 37. I've been having lucid dreams as far back as I can remember and only realized I could plan, induce, and extend them the summer before entering high school. |

I'm 20 years old and I'm not suprised to see that most people here are teens.
It's pretty noticeble, by the way most people here write their forum posts and dream journals. |

*Breathes a sigh of relief*
Thank you!
I'm 35 and only just getting into LDing. Almost all my friends think I'm going mad... if only they knew how amazing LDing can be. |

Wow, I knew this site tended towards a younger audience but I had no idea how young! I'm 26, and I owe a grateful thank-you to the five people so far who are older than me.
Including me, the current mean is 20.1, median 17.5. (Sorry, but things like this get my statistical senses tingling.) Based on this topic, about 75% of us are college-age or younger (grad school not included). According to an older topic (http://www.lucidipedia.com/forum.php?section=viewtopic&t=1242), Lucidipedia users are around 80% male. That's a pretty clear target audience! _________________ "Now even if I lay my head down at night, after a day I got perfectly right, she won't know." |

I am around 30.
Wow, when I started reading the beginning of this thread it made me think that everyone on here was in their teens! But then I thought maybe the younger people just respond faster as they have more free time and are on the forum more often. Then towards the last page I saw there are people of all different ages, including 30's and 40's.
One thing that really surprised me was that certain people on here (for example some of the moderators and/or very experienced lucid dreamers) are actually much younger than I'd assumed them to be, for example one guy who is like 17 but from his posts I thought he was in his late 20's or early 30's. But then I thought maybe some of the type of teenagers who would get interested in lucid dreaming in the first place, are different or wise or very mature for their age? I was extremely mature for my age when I was a teen and I could easily have become very interested in LD if I had known then that it was possible to deliberately have LDs and learn to control them. And it seems much easier for people to learn things when they are younger (for example how to induce LDs, or how to ride a motorcycle). |
