I have been thinking about how one would their time in a lucid dream... It is assumed and known by those who have accomplished lucidity that it is possible to do everything and anything in a dream...
Well, what if i wanted to use my dream to help me learn something or convince myself of something important? The only thing I can think of that relates to this curiosity is Inception... the process of planting an idea into the mind.
Of course we cannot go into OTHER peoples minds, but couldn't we do it to ourselves?
Here's what i think of it... It is the ACTIVE participation of laying down new neural pathways and connections... and our brain literally does this with precision when we learn new things in class or are convinced through an argument. Every time we think of something new that makes sense that's a new pathway.
Any thoughts on this PRACTICAL approach to Nolan's film i would gladly hear from all of those who have HAD a lucid dream. I am a novice so anything that can help me is appreciated...
PS: this is something i want to expirement with when i can successfully achieve lucidity... to see if it works. |

I'm not at all an experience Oneironaut but the best way to learn is to engage. To experience.
If you are in a Lucid Dream the first thing you need to know is what it is you want to learn. Then I would suggest creating a dream character which you presume (and one you preume, it becomes true) That the character is a Guru of the topic of the knowledge you seek. Summon a guitar guru and have him teach you the instrument even if you don't know how to play it. and, well, it should help in waking reality.
I.. hope that helped. Planting an idea into your own brain is a redundancy, but I think I understood what you were asking. |
