i was a glider pilot and find flying easy, just jump off from a hill or take off from level ground, but with arms out strechet and i am flying where my dream takes me as i am just on the edge of lucid dreaming, and my only lucid dream did not involve flying.

Have only flown once, in the only lucid dream I've had so far.. I flew straight up from the grown with my hands by my side at full pelt. Then let myself freefall back down, hovered around doggy paddling near the ground for a bit until i remembered i was dreaming again, then took off like superman once again.
Good fun! Very Happy

I have flown in a variety of ways. I don't know if any of you have read the books Skulduggery Pleasant
but recently i flew using a technique i read from the book (in it he is capable of air manipulation). I splayed my hands and forced the air down like a jet. I have also flown using my arms as wings but i have never tried just flying without rationalizing it, using something as an explanation.

I have only flown once, in my one and only lucid dream so far, and then I jumped up and down until I stayed in the air and then i soared up and around like an eagle! Mr. Green

Did you wave your arms up and down or did you hold them out to the sides? Also i like the idea about angel wings, though i would prefer huge bat-like wings Very Happy

Most of the time when I fly, it's using angel wings lucid or non lucid which is strange for me since I am an Atheist. However, in one dream I had bat wings and was part devil for some reason with horns and a devil's tail but I don't know what dream journal it's recorded in, or if I recorded that dream at all. I don't know why I use angel wings or became half devil, as I'm non religious. However, either angel or bat wings flying is fun!

I kind of just lift off into the air, usually hovering but no flight yet.

Mostly swimming or superman style (arms straight ahead).

A couple of times like an airplane style (arms straight out sideways).

Once floated above ground like a balloon.

A few times I've launched like a spaceship:

-On one occasion went so high I got a satellite view of the earth

-On another occasion I flew between planets. (Had earlier in the week heard the Deep Purple song "Space Trunkin.")

I dont seem to fly very often, but when I have flown, I floated, and used my mind to give me lift and accleleration. Most times it is just high enough to be condidered flight. Maybe a foot or two off the ground. It is so cool when it happens though.

So many ways! I generally use one of the ways someone has already listed, and then once I do, it becomes clear to my body and mind that I can fly, and I no longer rely on the shape/movement of my body to do so.

I find flying in spiral patterns is really helpful. Either flying upward in wide spirals, or flying straight up just spinning. Spinning and spirals are great for all sorts of dream tricks in general!

Interesting, I've never heard of that one before. That seems helpful--you're working in small increments of space that you can measure with your eye and body as you go, instead of trying to leap from being low ot being high as your instinct would have you try...I'll have to give this a shot. Plus, the movement seems more fun and interesting.
