Meeting People in Dreams

Anyone have trouble meeting people in lucid dreams? Is there a certain way you have to imagine meeting them? Apparently I am unable to make someone appear out of thin air.

Melanie (Nailgirl) should have some good input on this. I remember she was having troubles with making DC's appear.

I always just imagine that the person is there, and focus on the characteristics of that person. If you have trouble with this, perhaps you could use the same method that Cadellin (I think it was her-not sure though) used to change scenery when she had some trouble with it. She would imagine teleporting (using instant transmission rather) to the new place she imagined. Perhaps you could use your own adaptation of this technique to teleport to your dream character.

Oh boy, yes...I can do it now sometimes, but it does take extreme confidence and expectation. I probably was into my 60th lucid dream before I was able to manifest my sister, let alone someone much more impossible.

I usually try the "around the corner" thing, and it has worked, but I read on (another LD website Embarassed

) a technique where someone started hugging a tree and the person morphed right out of the tree. I have recently done this by hugging a pole in my dream bedroom. It was one of the best things EVER!
