As you sleep. Listen to the ringing in your ears. Lie comfortably and tell your body to relax by starting with the toes, finding any tension there and then releasing it from the body out into the ethos. Do this as a process, slowly working your way up to your head .
Gently ride the waves of your breathing and feel the air touching the outside of your cerebellum feel it spinning there near your third eye and that cool pressure at the base of the occipital bone. Try to imagine that whatever you are resting on is not a level surface. Feel the sensation that the room, object or surface is actually moving into an angled stationary position in such a way as to place your feet at an angle higher than your head, just enough to grant the sensation that you are sinking into the area which you are resting on, doing this will help clear your mind and help you to focus on an alternate reality.
As you breath in let any thoughts that you may have come into view, freeze frame it like a snap shot and then spin it away from view like a coin. Now let the remains melt away with the outward breath. Between your rhythms of breathing remember to breath the thought of the word"AWAKE" and the words " WHEN I AWAKE I WILL KNOW THAT I AM DREAMING", say this with a deep, relaxed, lazy voice. Feel it take your body as the annunciation fades with each expiration of air. It should feel relaxing and should not require much mental effort.
When your mind starts to visually formulate images before your eye lids, accept the fact that you see the images, but do not pay much attention to what it may be that your seeing. You must let your subconcious be the creator. See the circular waves of soft, dull golden light as they enter from out of sight at then begin to appear wholely encompassed with each succession getting smaller and smaller until merging before the nose.
If you need to, focus gently on it and float it down into your chest. Focus on how to visually UNFOCUS allowing the eyes to relax and releasing any strain on the eyes. Let them do as they please. TRY TO RELAX AND REMEMBER WHAT you had just drempt. Avoid focusing to hard as it will not allow you to relax. Just RELAX, and BREATH, ALLOWING your MIND To re-establish the random sequence of organized/unorganized reality. In time you will awakeen in the dream world.
