I apologize. I felt that the process leading up to the knowledge I discovered was detrimental to the information that I had received. Nevertheless thank you for reading it.

That's a really great dream! Thanks for sharing. Allow me to suggest to use the dream journal feature of Lucidipedia and to use paragraphs though - makes it easier for us Razz

That description of the name Avion fits my personality great too, as well as it does with many dreamers here I would guess.

My question to you readers is how is this possible. By falling backwards did I somehow access my unconscious knowledge? What did it mean when it said that in this world my true name is avion. This is who you are.

During the lucidity seminar in Bern, falling backwards was actually discussed by Stephen LaBerge as a technique to prolong lucid dreams. In the early days of Stephen's research, he was looking for such techniques that relied on sensory stimulation as a way to keep the mind of the feeling of the "physical body". The problem with falling backwards is that many subjects in the experiments woke up.

He found two techniques that proved to be more effective: rubbing hands (tends to increase vividness of the same dream) and spinning (tends to switch dream scenes). Nevertheless, it's definitely worth experimenting with falling backwards anyway. Nice find!

Btw the very nature of dreams is accessing unconscious knowledge. You don't need a specific technique for that. Smile

Thank you both for the replys.
Spinning sounds interesting. Have you tried it before? Do you just focus on the sensation of spinning or try to use your legs whilst in the dream?
There were two times that an action ended a dream while lucid. 1).I was floating high in the air. 2). I was willfully sinking to the bottom of the ocean and planning on facing a giant shark to face one of my fears and conquer it.

So would spinning work in a suspended environment? let me know. thanks

I usually spin every time a dream starts fading out. Rubbing my hands doesn't always work with me and if it does, it's only temporary. Just open your arms and spin around like you would in waking life. For me, the rotation blurs the dream scene, the dream goes dark and then I have to stay focused on the spinning movement (otherwise chances are I'd wake up) until I see a new dream scene emerging.

It should work anywhere, you don't actually need to use your "dream feet" if you can't - just try opening the arms and move around in a spinning motion.

[quote="Lence"]

That makes sense. I will try that next time.
