You mean it was literally 20 hours, and after that, literally 2 days? Or you just felt like that?

How would you know a dream takes 2, 3 or more days? Do you actually go to sleep and wake up in the dream to start another "day"?

Often I have the feeling I had a very long dream (typically when I sleep more than 8 hours.. longer REM period), but I only recall the last couple of dream scenes.

I meant, did it really take 20 hours in the dream world, according to the time that you've experienced in the dream, according to dream time.
In one of the episodes of Stargate, they opened a wormhole to a planet where a black hole was created. Black holes have massive gravitation, and near black holes, time passes slower. They couldn't close the stargate, and the effects of the black hole started to leak through.
So, underground, in the base, time started to flow slower, while on the surface, time flowed at normal speed, which is faster, compared to the time speed of underground. In both places, underground, and on the surface, it seemed that time flows at normal speed, but only from the observers' personal view, because theirselves too, as objects like clocks for example, were synced with the time speed of one of the locations, and differentiation was only possible by going up, and back down again.
So, I meant that did it really take 20 hours, in this regard. In this regard, the surface, where time flows faster, could symbolize the dream world. And the underground could symbolize the real world. So, I was curious about that, that "how much time have passed on your clock in the dream world", and not about that, that how much time have passed on a clock in the real world.
