| It sounds like limited lucidity. though I know really nothing about this. Maybe you were just to aware of your physical body, and next time will be better. good luck |

Make sure to have absolute control over your expectations. Perhaps you experienced what happens when you have doubt, even the slightest unnoticeable bit of it. I know it might seem difficult to counteract this, but just practice. Have "zen" concentration. *chuckle* Well, I hope this helped, at least a little bit. Good luck, and happy dreaming. _________________ "Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night."-Edgar A. Poe |

That's lucidity. It's a realization out of nothingness. The techniques are only there as tools to help you remind to be lucid

You were probably thinking that you're actually lying in bed, sleeping and dreaming, which shifted your awareness to your physical body. That "pulling" sensation is very typical when you become aware of a physical body.
Just relax. "Go in there" again and again, and after a couple of LDs, you'll notice you'll have a lot more control over the experience. |

I've experienced it as well. At the first sign of it, I have like 30 seconds to do something cool, so I start throwing cars around. _________________ Quare? Quod vita mea non tua est. |

Well, if this is just a problem with premature awakening, there are indeed some countermeasure techniques. One that has always worked for me is to rub your hands together. This will distract your mind from the waking sensation by focusing it on simulating the effect of the hand rubbing. _________________ "Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night."-Edgar A. Same thing happened to me today... I was lucid and flying through walls, spotting a picture and a frame on it. I tried to fly through it, but was pushed back, as if we were both N on seperate magnets... I thought it was pretty ominous, and felt a weird presence from it, but I tried again. Same thing, I was sent back floating and woke up.
I had no expectation that this would happen, I'm good at dream controling and the dream was perfectly stable... Really interesting... The pic is hard to remember, but it was red with yellow markings on it and framed. About 12x9" dimensions.
