| I haven't tried to LD in a while and have recently pursued trying to induce one again. I have been doing RCs and journaling like I use to. I have only ever been able to WILD. This morning I woke up at 4am and decided to try WILD. I went through sleep paralysis like normal and felt and saw the dream forming. I decided to try and do a RC because the transition was taking longer than usual. I plugged my nose and tried to breath. At first I could feel air coming in and then I couldn't breath and thought I had woke up so I stayed laying down and shut my eyes to fall asleep again. I knew I was dreaming but when the RC failed I completely lost lucidity and tricked myself out of it. I eventually had a false awakening after this which resulted in a different dream, not lucid. Do you think it would be beneficial to keep doing RCs when I transition to the dream from WILD? Maybe it will help with being able to DILD? It seems my subconscious is completely against me LDing. What do you think? |

| You were in your lucid dreaming but unable to control it. |

| 4am. I like that time. Maybe instead of doing an rc you can continue to remind your self that your are dreaming. That way you can solidify the dream first and then do the rc to reinforce your convictions. |

4am is a great time! Yeah, I think that plan is best. This was the first time I've done WILD and was confused upon entering the dream. Usually I transition and start my lucid dream. I think I was really tired so that could have affected my awareness I guess. Thanks for the help |
