so i had this dream last night,where i think i was in a parking lot,and recognized it was a dream,so i decided to wake up.but then i decided to just control it.i was talking to some dc characters.then i summoned a red lantern ring .and tried to fly.(wasnt so successful!) and other things,but the dream didnt feel like a actual LUCID dream just another regular dream.whats wrong?did i not completely beak through?and tell me why i couldnt fly!

if you knew you where dreaming, then you where lucid. and as for flying, you might need practise. if anything next dream flap your arms like a bird while trying to fly. thats how i fly non lucid

I agree with bakufun, if you realize that you were dreaming then you were lucid and after that you were in non-lucid dream.

There are varying degrees of lucidity and dream vividness. Next time try to increase your awareness of the dream first: follow the MEME steps and be still. That should dramatically increase quality of the dream. Smile

My guess is that because you chose to control the dream in such a way that you were entertained by the things in your dream, that source of entertainment brought you back into the trance.

I'd also advise you to not let go of the feeling that you haven't "broken through"...the more you believe that there is further to go, the more you'll find yourself attaining new feats. Breaking through to a new level of consciousness and lucidity happens all the time if you are devoted.

I think you were only having a semi luicd dream. If this happens again, just yell "I DEMAND CLARITY!" bro! Wink
