| I've been trying a lot more to induce lucid dreaming in my naps, and overall sleep. I've tried some techniques and even used binaural beats. I've only had about 4-5 lucid dreams in my life, and all were unintentional. The dreams all happened around the same time though. I don't understand why all of a sudden it is impossible for me to become lucid? Tips would be very much appreciated. |

Well, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm far from mastering lucid dreaming, but I used to have about, at least, one or two LDs per week (since 2010). Sometimes intentional, sometimes not. The last two to three months... what, maybe one or two "full" LDs that I remember? My dream recall has been absolutely horrible too. And the dreams I do remember are just plain weird and sometimes scary - not very encouraging. It's as if everything I've learned just went down the drain.
So yeah, I'm in a dry spell too right now. Why this is, I'm not sure. Too many factors at play here. What I do know, is that worrying about it or getting frustrated won't help. Eventually, it'll come back.
Not sure if this is useful at all All I can say is, keep practicing, but don't get lost in the techniques. Try to find what works for you. And don't panic. Oh, and know "why" you want to lucid dream, that's an important one. Set your purpose, set your goals & intentions, set individual objectives, make a plan of attack, execute, review, adjust, repeat... |

Yeah I agree with Lence. Dry spells happen. I am just getting off one right now; that's why I'm joining blogs and forums to get myself really thinking about it again. I have a few articles on my blog that might help out--not to overadvertise my website--but since it's basically about coming off a LD dryspell I think it's appropriate. I think the main thing is not giving in--if your energy level goes down, don't beat yourself up. Just feel it sink and be with that energy level for a while. Ignoring it isn't going to help--it's the spreading of your awareness that creates energy for lucidity.
A few brief tips: try thinking about it as a game, and your imagination--awake, or asleep--is the arena in which the game is played. remember how to enjoy your imagination, and you'll definitely be moving in the right direction. _________________ |
