I've had some desire to have a lucid dream for quite awhile, but the most I've ever done is try reality check things, like, look at my hand on occasion, and that never worked.
Last night, though, I was dreaming that it was the first day of school. I went to a class and whatnot, but I was always sort of wondering... has school actually starting yet? I don't remember it being right before school starts. So eventually, I went up to one of my friends and asked her, "If this is August 27th, was yesterday August 26th?" She said yes. But I remembered that the day before WASN'T August 26th, and so I said, "I think I'm dreaming." I looked down at my hand, and it was similar to normal but it was kind of... bent funny, or out of proportion. That basically confirmed it for me. I had kind of a funny feeling in my chest that I can't quite describe, and I looked around. The hall was getting taller and also sort of foggy. I felt like my legs were getting longer to fit with that. I remember thinking that, if this is a lucid dream, won't I be able to control it? I was also sort of apprehensive that I might wake up before anything interesting happened. And then I sort of thought I was awake, and I opened my eyes, and I was actually awake. I went over to my journal to write all of that down.
I still feel sort of like I was jerked awake. And I slept two hours more than I usually do. xD
Anyways, to those of you who know: WAS that the beginnings of a lucid dream? |

yes that was the beginning. Well done on realizing that you were dreaming. I suppose we all have our own ways of realizing that we dreaming. Remember anything you ask a friend in your dream will probably be a yes or whatever answer you want. For you to realize that your friend's yes answer was wrong , it's great. So well done. Have you read up on the ways of teaching yourself to become lucid? and how to remain lucid?
p.s. you might wanna read this http://www.lucidipedia.com/forum.php?section=viewtopic&t=4693 |
