| Hey guys, I have a fear when ever I have a Lucid Dream I always get scared to explore some dreamscapes, areas, and I worry about dream characters attacking me, etc. I been having this problem for quite some time when I lucid. I don't want to get out of bed and dont' want to explore, is there a way to conqure this fear? It's really bugging me to the point that I don't want to Lucid Dream. I mean, I'd like to but I have some kind of fear holding me back because I worry too much. Thanks in advice. ^_^ |

Hey,Rin,the best way to beat fear is to face it, don't forget that it's just a dream, you can't be harmed |

| I had a problem in the opposite direction when I first started. I felt so much power because you can literally become the god of the dream if you want to that I didn't do anything and just woke up exhilarated and slightly frightened. I think it takes time and the realization that although most people would consider what we do abnormal it is in fact very normal and nothing can hurt you in the dream because it is all in your mind. The best way to get rid of your fear is to face it and continue on lucid dreaming. |

| I also suggest to get rid of your fear is to face it. Just do it whatever you want to. It is just a dream and it will not injure you. So, don’t worry and go for it. |

| Don’t do anything to get a lucid dream daily. Just leave it and when you suddenly get a dream then do whatever you want to. |

Hey Rin, dude you just need to face your fears. Before you go to sleep, visualize becoming lucid and being confident in the situation, flying and meeting dream characters. Repeat to yourself "I am in control!" and "The dream should be scared of ME!"
Just remember you are in complete control. And that you feel so much better once you face your fears. I guarantee that if you get up and chat to dream characters you will fell a rush of joy and control, and that you will find your dream and it's characters welcoming and nice, if slightly strange.
You'll work it out. We all experience weird little irrational fears and I can totally understand yours. Just remember the nature of the dream- it's inside your head. You are God. You don't need to be overly aggressive towards dream characters either, it's not good to get angry at your subconscious. Just be chill and in control.
Hope this helps! |

I find it quite hard to say to yourself things like: i can do this, im in control ,and expecting to get control this way.
Trying to take control this way is hard cause this is like you are TRYING to believe it but you cant. It never worked for me. Instead, before you go to bed listen to the most badass song you know and that motivates you and you feel badass when you listen to it and then you will know who has the control and you will know that you are the mightiest there is in your own dreams . Then when you are afraid in a dream again, think of that song and what you felt when you listened to it...just dont get too drunk from power and wake up from over exciteness xD. This is just my opinion but you can try anything you want, other solutions from other ppl are good enough too _________________ Whenever you see this do a reality check .

You sound like you might actually afraid of yourself - I hope your not listening to the horror stories about LDing? Anyhow, I never was afraid, in fact I crave that control, and the issue I have is not having enough of it. But never afraid of it.
Never be afraid, face your monsters so to speak, see what it is your dream world is like, go forward confident, just do it, push everything from your mind and take a step. Jump off a building and fly - don't stay still, else things might come to you if that's what you think.
You are the controller, or the sub controller in your dreams, walk with curiosity and awe rather than fear. Observe everything like a sight seer and be objective when things get scary. _________________ The night is my shadow of the day |

Always remember that you are the one in power, you have the ability to alter your dreamscape to the way you want it. I can certainly relate with this fear of yours. I'm not gonna go into detail about my own but in the end (recently actually) I just laugh things I used to fear. Thats what you need to do, accept that they might be frightening but they are from your imagination. Once you are able to gain control the dream, make the scary thing whatever it may thing do something funny or change its appearence to something amusing. Thats how I usually go about it. But remember that these things AREN'T ACTUALLY REAL!
Hope I helped in some way after all of the great advice already given |
