1 month have passed when i was trying WBTB technique every week-ends.
Actually, i don't do it because i am not getting any success, although every time
i get off my bed i do my reality check that is looking for my hands and counting my
fingers, i also have my own dream journal with 15-20 notebook sheet fully written.
Except this week, i tried to do WBTB again, but had no success. What i do while i'm
awake doing WBTB is turning on my PC, searching about lucid dreams, thinking that they
are really cool, but heres an important point. I don't get motivated at all
and i wonder why this happens maybe because of my many unsuccessful attempts before when i tried
WBTB for real and had a feeling of motivation? or am i missing something?
I really don't know what to do anymore to get a lucid dream. |

Why do you want to lucid dream? You don't have to answer, I'm just making the point that if you don't have a clearly defined objective, it will be difficult to find motivation. Don't just focus on "lucid dreaming" in general before going back to bed; focus on your objective. Just saying "I want to have a lucid dream" before going back to sleep is far too abstract.
And it's possible to practice daily, even if you have a busy schedule. Try paying attention to your "micro awakenings" and when you notice you' woke up during the night, go back to sleep with the intention to stay awake. |

| If you want to get something you have to spend your time to get it. |

I'm in college and I do WBTB daily. You can do it. Try going to bed earlier so you have time in the morning still. |

| Hey Skrwitch, I don’t think it is possible for a school going student. But yes Slenerim, you can do it in the morning before going to school. |

Go to bed earlier, WBTB doesn't need to take an entire hour like everyone says. Take fifteen minutes if you like, just keep repeating you want to recognise when your dreaming that your dreaming. Don't go "I want to lucid dream ' or 'i will lucid dream." Nope that will not work.
What would you like to do in your lucid? Fly? Summon people? Magic? Watch film scenes that inspire you. Some people like stuff from the Matrix. I like the mirror scene from Inception - the one where she pulls the two mirrors and then breaks them to create a long bridge. Scenes from Harry Potter if thats your pot of tea.
what are your favorite songs? Something rich - something that makes you tingle, with sensory detail.
You can do all this before your long first bit of sleep. Ruminate on it, enjoy it, anticipate the moment you lucid.
And in addition, why don't you browse the forum? I have answered a few other similar posts and and there are other answers that might be helpful.
Never say you can't - not with this. this is one thing you have nearly ultimate control with. Also, this - want this enough but not too much. Don't be overly desperate and get stressed out. You will be surprised that Lucidity will hit you when you least expect it.
Also don't be too let down when you don't succeed, you spend a lot of time sleeping so you have all the time to keep trying.
Good luck
