Hello Lucidipedia,

A little background on myself -- I started practicing lucid dreaming when I was 16 or so, which was right around the time the Waking Life movie came out. Over the next 8 years, after lots of research and hundreds of lucid dreams, I had become what I would consider a "semi-pro". That being said, I never got to the point where I could induce lucid dreams reliably enough to consider myself a "pro"...I usually had to hack my body somehow to make it happen (WBTB, for example). Never the less, I was still pretty good at it, and lucid dreaming eventually became a defining part of my character.

That was like 5 years ago, and I've been on a dry-spell of epic proportions ever since. This probably has something to do with lifestyle changes (starting a career, getting married, having a child, etc). Or maybe it has something to do with me getting older? Whatever the case may be, it's been so long since that part of my life that it's starting to feel like it never happened. And that's why I'm here. I'm here to talk about lucid dreaming, share my experiences, learn from others' experiences, and to simply make it part of my daily life again.

That's about it, see you in the forums!

Oh, and on a side note I just had a DILD lucid dream last night (though short and lacking vivid details). I think coming here and reading/talking/thinking about lucid dreaming is helping to get me back in LD-mode. Cool

Congrats on your DILD Very Happy

Out of interest, how do you get the backwards c in your username? It's rather fitting for a lucid dream forum, given that we're supposed to be aware of inconsistensies, lol. Smile

Yeah, that was part of the idea. I also like to think of lucidity as being the "mirror reflection" of waking consciousness, but something like ƨuoiↄƨnoↄ was too hard to read.

Anyway, you can find special characters in the "character map" on your PC. Not all of them will translate to an online forum, but many do.
