Has anybody heard of dream walkers and night stalkers? I read about this on another site and it seems a little skeptical but I was just curious if anyone has had any experiences with them.

I don't have a clue what you're talking about. Please elaborate.

What are dreamstalkers and nightwalkers? What function do they have, where do they come from?
That kind of stuff Smile

This is the definition I found on another site:
Dream Walkers and Night Stalkers are two factions that are able to walk into other people's dreams at will for various reasons

So basically, they enter your dreams without your permission, and apparently they start shit with people too for absolutely no reason...

omg... that’s an old one…please don't mix lucid dreaming with unreal ideas created by some idiot, if you want to maintain lucid dreaming credibility don't feed ideas like dream stalkers/walkers...lucid dreaming is a real thing and it's so awesome! why inventing stupid things like dream walkers?!

Ignore things like that and enjoy your dream life! Wink

Sounds like a playable concept for a rpg Laughing

Even if it would be real (it is not), anybody who comes into my dream uninvited, will be sorry for it for a long time.

These are just as real as the boogyman, it's all in your head. If you're gonna expect them to enter your dream and mess with you they'll probably will Wink

Someone would be able to get into your dreams.
Your dreams are made in your brain.
Conclusion: They can get in your brain.

If they can get in your brain they can mess with you when you're awake as well. It's just that dreaming is unknown and people can test those things less likely when they are asleep than when they are awake.

In your dreams you are God, so even if they would get in: pwn their arses!

But seriously, they can't get in.

Yeah this has been discussed heavily over on the Dreamviews forum.

Its a lot of manga/gaming inspired nonsense.

A couple of dubious characters have enjoyed trying to creat the "legend"
and generating an internet buzz.

Seriously, battling groups of good, evil or rogue "dream warriors".
The inspiration is transparently obvious, not to mention childish.

As Moonshine and other said, it's all a lie (just like the cake >.<). Just continue to dream on!

I am tired of listening to people saying. Don't pay attention to or dont believe in this or that because is all in your mind, its just a dream!!

Question

Isn't everything a product of our or my mind?, If my dreams and DC are not real what about what I call my waking life?. isn't the fabric of both the same?

Whay discharging theories of stalkers, outside entities or whatever?, they are the same kind of experiences as the ones we have everyday.

Dreams are not a normal function of the body but a different conciousness that we can explore and master as we do it with our normal one (waking)

If we can change a dream scene or interacrt with DC in a dream it means that we can also do it in "waking life", we just dont know how to do it.

The way I see it, is this: the way you perceive real life is based upon what's actually there, and what your mind makes of it. The way you perceive dreams, however, is based only upon what your mind makes of it. So, yeah, the same systems are involved in dreaming and perceiving waking life, but they are different. Waking life is more... persistent, if you will.

Obviously I can't speak for others, but I don't experience stuff like this.

This is a statement with as much intrinsic truth value (if there even is such a thing) as the statement 'dreams are all in your head'. Why do you think we have a different consciousness?

I believe that beneficial change in waking life comes through hard work, and hard work only. In this sense, lucid dreaming teaches a valuable lesson in that it requires effort.

@usadreamer

Everything is experienced through the mind (how else?), but that is very different from saying everything is a product of the mind. It's a futile exercise to try to determine the real source of "stuff", i.e. whether or not there's anything else but mind. What we can do and what is very worthwhile doing is to work with whatever information, skills and resources we have as best and lucid as possible, at all times. Accepting your limitations is the first step to overcoming them.

So basically, I repeated what Rik just said. Smile
