I was wondering...how come some people dream every single night, or to be more specific - remember their dreams every night and others claim to have only one or two dreams per month or even per year. Is this related with training or are they actually not dreaming during this time? What do you think about that? Rolling Eyes

All people dream all nights and more than one single dream, in fact, you can have 6-8 dreams per night, only depends of many hours you sleep and reached REM. This is already scientifically proven.

There are many factors to not remember your dreams: Stress, not giving importance to that (unfortunately in nowadays, due to the Western lifestyle dreams don’t have much importance for most of people), lack of sleeping...

It’s true that for some people it’s easier to remember dreams than others, although the dream recall it’s a thing that you can practice.

As absolution already said, everybody dreams every night.

There are many people who claim that they don't dream, but they just don't remember them.

Writing down your dreams helps so much, i used to only remember like one dream a week or something, but now i remember several dreams every night. Even though there not lucid it's still fun to write them down, and then look back at all the crazy things my mind comes up with.

its weird. all my siblings very rarely remember their dreams. i have almost always remembered at least some of my dream every night, and the past three years, i have been remembering several full dreams every night. its weird how some people just cant remember when i find it second nature to. well, i guess it is because i am really interested in dreams and memory and psychology and stuff, while they dont even think about it. i am helping my sister learn to remember her dreams by us both talking about dreams before we go to bed. now she usually remembers five dreams a week, from one a month!

It's interesting because a lot of people that I talk to say that they havn't had a dream since (insert age here). The thing is, they have. Many, many times per night. (I'm not sure the average number of dreams per night, but I was told it's about 7)
The reason, I believe, that they think they havn't had a dream since then is because they just simply don't remember them. To somebody that does not have dreaming in one of their focases, they only remember the scary or weird ones.
I remember at least 2 dreams per night and have remembered up seven one night. It's all just in how concerned you are with them.
